Week 43

First the news that most of you probably want the most. I am being transferred from Sewell, NJ. I was only here for six weeks and that is uncommon for most areas. Normally you stay for 12-24 weeks. I am glad that I had the chance to serve here, but I am looking forward to my fourth area. It’s hard to believe that I am going to my fourth though.

We didn't really drive this week because we didn't have the miles to do so, but we did see miracles though. We’ve been having trouble with finding people that are interested. However, last week we found seven individuals or families that expressed some interest. We had a lesson with one of them and two lessons with another and both seem interested in learning more.

The person who we had two lessons with is named Steve. When we first knocked on his door, he said that he was not interested because he and the other people in the house were already saved. We asked him what it meant to be saved. Then we asked if we are saved, then why did Christ need to be baptized? He gave us an answer that was doctrinally sound. We told him that we agreed and showed him where it is in the Book of Mormon. He later agreed to have us come back to talk more. When we went back Saturday, he was expecting us. We got to know more about his religious background and asked him some questions. He thought about them and then he gave us answers. Most, if not all of them, were also doctrinally sound, so we testified that he was right and then we expounded on his answers. We followed that pattern, and we taught most of the Plan of Salvation. We could really feel the Spirit in the lesson.
